FINALISTS ANNOUNCED FOR 2024 CAPITAL REGION COMMERCIAL BUILDING AWARDS

The 2023 Capital Region Commercial Building Award’s Judges’ Choice winner for best overall project, 1025 Johnson Street, an integrated building that includes the City of Victoria’s Fire Department Headquarters and 130 affordable rental homes and Class A office space. Dalmatian Developments Ltd. is the owner/developer, HCMA Victoria the Architect/Designer, and Campbell Construction the General Contractor.

VICTORIA – The 2024 Capital Region Commercial Building Award Finalists have been announced!

50 Finalist projects, selected from 164 total nominations, will be competing for awards in 14 categories, including the Judge’s Choice for best overall. Winners will be announced live on Thursday, November 28th at the Delta Ocean Pointe Resort in Victoria.

“We’re beyond excited to see the growth in submitted projects for this year’s event, our third year producing it,” says John MacDonald, Publisher of the Business Examiner News Group, the event’s organizer.

“It’s a privilege to build on the legacy of this celebration that has been highlighting the best in commercial, industrial, multi-family and community development since 1991. We’re expecting more than 250 attendees from across the region, and look forward to connecting and celebrating with everyone on the 28th!”

Eligible projects were completed between January 1, 2023, and June 30, 2024, and located in South Vancouver Island municipalities located South of the Malahat Highway.

Award categories include:

There will also be a Judges’ Choice Award for the best overall entry.
