1025 Johnson Street Wins Capital Region Commercial Building Awards

Judges’ Choice winner for best overall project, 1025 Johnson Street, an integrated building that includes the City of Victoria’s Fire Department Headquarters and 130 affordable rental homes and Class A office space. VICTORIA – The new building at 1021-1025 Johnson Street won the Judges’ Choice, Best Overall Entry in the annual Capital Region Commercial Building Awards November 23 at the Delta Ocean Pointe Resort.

There were 45 finalists in the gala event to honour the best in commercial, industrial and revenue-producing properties in Greater Victoria, from Sooke to Sidney, completed in 2022.

Architect of the Year was HCMA, Safety Company of the Year was Knappett Projects Inc. and Construction Company of the Year was GableCraft Homes / Royal Bay.

Gold Sponsors were Freedom Capital, MNP LLP and Coastal Community Credit Union, and category sponsors were NAI Commercial Victoria, Island EHS, Landlord BC, Proline Property Management, Viking Properties, IWCD, TD, Knappett Projects Inc. and Sidney Courier and Hendra Moving.
