Discover Tectoria is an event for everyone; youth get a glimpse into a future working in tech, post-secondary students and job seekers get to meet potential employers, local and visiting investors can check out some up-and-coming businesses, and tech companies get to showcase their products and services to over 3500 attendees.’

“We created this event to showcase innovation in Victoria so everyone can see just how big and important the tech sector is in our city,” explains Dan Gunn, CEO of VIATEC (Victoria Innovation, Advanced Technology & Entrepreneurship Council). “We call it ‘Discover Tectoria’ because that’s what we expect people to do.”

VIATEC is taking full advantage of the tri-city Pro-D Day scheduled on the same day and is encouraging parents to bring their kids to enjoy a full day of exploration. Students and their parents receive free admission and there are complimentary tickets available in Douglas Magazine, Victoria News, Saanich News and Oak Bay News community papers leading up to the 19th.

Simultaneously, leading Victoria institutions including VIATEC and the City of Victoria are hosting a Capital Mission for a contingent of visiting investors from February 17 to 19.
