EXECUTIVE ELECTIONS WELCOME NEW PENTICTON CHAMBER PRESIDENT

PENTICTON – The Penticton & Wine Country Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce that Jordan Knox has been elected as this year’s President.

Currently the Operations Manager at Penticton Rona, the majority of Jordan’s career was spent in hospitality, working across Canada and even abroad in the Cayman Islands. At the Chamber, Jordan chaired both the advocacy and nomination committees prior to today’s election.

Partner Co. Health and WellnessMarlene Trenholm, Chair of Penticton Women in Business and the Chamber’s governance committee, was elected to be the first Vice President, with HEK Yeah Media’s Harpreet Sidhu voted into the second Vice President’s position.

Dan Arbeau, owner of NetDNA Technology Solutions, will once again fill the treasurer’s role, and Cherry Fernandez of the South Okanagan Immigrant and Community Services (SOICS) will be this year’s Secretary.

In addition to Cherry, 5 other new members joined the Chamber’s Board this year, including:
Tanya Behardien, Executive Director at OneSky Community Resources; Kori Iceton, Co-Owner of The Hub on Martin; Ian Lindsay, CEO of the South Okanagan Similkameen Medical Foundation; Pius Omene, Associate at FH&P Lawyers LLP; and
Shane Squires, General Manager of Cascades Casino.

Current Directors that are not sitting on the Executive Committee include: Dale Cory of Skaha Ford; Rohan Katyal of RBC Royal Bank; and Sarah Tucker of Graphically Hip.

With today’s election, Nicole Clark of Community Futures Okanagan Similkameen moves into the Past President position.
