DELTA

The retail centre Taylor’s Crossing, located at 1025 Marine Drive in North Vancouver, has been acquired by Spire Development Corporation.

A proposed six-story condominium building in the Tsawwassen neighbourhood known as the Beacon House, situated at 5535 14B Ave., 5550 15B Ave., 1500, 1512, and 1524 55A St., is being considered for preliminary rezoning approval by the Delta council.

A floating residence in Ladner that is distinctive in design is currently listed on the market for $3.9 million.

The Guru Nanak Food Bank has opened its second location in North Delta at the Kennedy Seniors Centre parking lot.

The endoscopy program at Delta Hospital, generously supported by the Delta Hospital and Community Health Foundation, will receive a new $8 million facility, according to the Fraser Health Authority (FHA).

ABBOTSFORD

The first Mill Lake pathway improvements initiative under the new Mill Lake Master Plan has been approved by the Abbotsford city council for $1 million.

CHILLIWACK 

The Ministry of Jobs and Economic Growth announced on Thursday (July 24) that applications are now open for the next round of Rural Economic Diversification and Infrastructure Program (REDIP) grants.

The new multi-use pathway on Bailey Road was completed by Tzeachten First Nation in partnership with the City of Chilliwack.  The pathway is complete with pavement markings, new signage and improved drainage

MISSION 

Kidz Hub Early Learning, a welcoming new space in Mission dedicated to supporting children and families in the community has officially opened at Unit 1 – 31895 Lougheed Hwy.

A grant application will be submitted by the City of Mission to assist in the funding of $7 million of a proposed $39 million public safety facility in the Cedar Valley, which would house Fire Hall No. 4.

The current bylaws, which prohibit cannabis production in all zones other than those approved by the ALC, were overwhelmingly decided to be maintained by the mission council.
