From September 13 To September 19, The Full $1 From Every Smile Cookie Sold In Nanaimo Will Support The Nanaimo & District Hospital Foundation
NANAIMO – Starting September 13, the Tim Hortons Smile Cookie campaign is back!
Celebrating its 25th anniversary, the Smile Cookie campaign has raised more than $60 million for charities, hospitals and community programs across the country – with a record-breaking $11 million in 2020.
Every year, Tim Hortons guests and restaurant owners across the country rally together behind the weeklong Smile Cookie campaign. For one week, the iconic chocolate chunk cookies topped with pink and blue icing drawing out a smile will be available at every Tim Hortons restaurant across the country. 100 per cent of proceeds from each cookie is donated to local charities in which the restaurants operate.
“The Tim Hortons in Nanaimo have donated nearly $170,000 over the years for major projects at Nanaimo Regional General Hospital (NRGH). This year, they are raising funds for the new Intensive Care Unit at Nanaimo Regional General Hospital. Tim Hortons were also major contributors for food delivery for medical staff in the early stages of COVID-19. We are thankful to have the opportunity to work with the Smile Cookie program and we thank everyone at Tim Hortons for their continued support,” said Janice Perrino, CEO of the Nanaimo & District Hospital Foundation.

Again this year, Tim Hortons restaurants in Nanaimo are supporting the Nanaimo & District Hospital Foundation.
“Communities coming together during these difficult times is more important than ever. Our restaurant team members and I are excited to continue working with our local charity partner, Nanaimo & District Hospital Foundation, to raise as much as possible to support the new ICU at NRGH. We encourage all of our guests throughout our annual Smile Cookie week to support their local charities by purchasing a freshly baked Smile Cookie at Tim Hortons for just $1,” said Dave Milne, Nanaimo Tim Hortons Restaurant Owner.
