WEST SHORE CHAMBER: CONNECTION IS KEY

WEST SHORE – In my January article I observed that the drive for in-person connections, which surged post-pandemic restrictions, is showing no sign of slowing. So this time around, I’d like to share some of the many organizations that can help you to connect in the WestShore and beyond. Guests are warmly welcomed!

Orbus Business Networks brings business owners and managers together to network and support one another, and raise money for charity. With Garden City (Victoria), WestShore, and Empowered Women chapters there are multiple opportunities to get involved. The Rotary Club of the West Shore meets every Friday and offers numerous volunteer opportunities to support charities both locally and globally. Think Local First offers unique events at member locations across the region, highlighting the crucial role local businesses play in our economy. You can connect with all of these and your closest chamber via the Business Resources section of our website at westshore.bc.ca

In addition to the WestShore Chamber there are four other Chambers on southern Vancouver Island, each with its own geographic area and focus. At the WestShore Chamber, we actively encourage you to join the organization or group that is the best fit for you. There’s a lot to explore, and if you’d like to connect with us, we’ll do our very best to point you in the right direction.

You are always very welcome to try before you buy with us, by coming along to one of our events with no expectation or obligation. Evening networking events take place typically on the second or third Wednesday of each month from 5-7 pm, while our Coffee Talk events typically take place on the last Tuesday of the month starting at 8:00 am. You can find out the latest on the Events tab of our website, and if you are interested in attending as a guest, please give us a call at 250-478-1130. We recommend you book early, as events regularly sell out.

See you out there. You’ll know me by my shoes!
