BRITISH COLUMBIA – Teamwork has been the hallmark of Plan B Contractors Inc., which is getting ready to celebrate its 20th anniversary in 2024.

“Our motto is ‘People come first,’ and it embodies our belief that prioritizing individuals is paramount,” Project Manager and Partner Brandon Westgate, states, adding that he is proud of the quality of the team and their expertise at the company. “Alongside this, we hold ourselves accountable for maintaining excellence, and recognizing our responsibility to uphold high standards in all that we do.”

Plan B’s team concept extends to the close working relationship it has with sub-trades and industry partners that helps them on the commercial and residential projects they build.

Brandon, a Red Seal Carpenter and Gold Seal Certified Project Manager, joined Plan B Contractors in 2012 as a Project Manager, and became a partner with founder and CEO Bryan Murray in 2018, when he took charge of project oversight while contributing to human resources, marketing and fostering team development. Project Manager Rob Kline, Maintenance Manager Robyn Kline and CFO Mike Seeley are also partners.

Another key to Plan B Contractors’ success is its design-build program, which continues to be one of their most in-demand services.

Plan B Contractors also offers pre-construction services, construction management and general contracting.

Some of their high profile projects include the erica jane Restaurant in Kelowna, Kelly O’Bryan’s Restaurant and Carlos O’Bryan’s Pub in West Kelowna and the Kelowna Airport Village Self Storage Centre.

They also built a 6,000 square foot hybrid, pre-engineered building for Juicing Systems in Coldstream, which includes a 2,000 square foot second floor of office space, and major renovations to 1680 and 1690 Water Street in downtown Kelowna.

One of the buildings is 24,900 square feet of commercial office space, and the other is two storeys and includes 5,900 square feet of commercial office space, and client Brian James states “their attention to detail, knowledge and ability to immediately accomplish a task is unprecedented.
