SIDNEY – The Sidney Business Improvement Area Society (Sidney BIA) is excited to introduce the first-ever Business in Sidney Annual Snapshot—a comprehensive report providing key insights into the town’s business landscape. This initiative marks the beginning of an annual effort to track economic trends, foot traffic, business sentiment, and overall commercial vitality in Sidney.
The purpose of this report is to create a benchmark that will allow us to measure changes year over year, identifying strengths and challenges while highlighting opportunities for continued growth. With this data, the Sidney BIA and local stakeholders can make informed decisions to support businesses and foster a thriving economic environment.
“This report is about more than just numbers—it’s about telling the story of Sidney’s business community and ensuring that we can support its ongoing success with meaningful action,” said Natalie Bobrowich, Business Development Manager at the Sidney BIA. “By tracking trends annually, we can better understand the factors influencing local commerce and adapt strategies to meet the needs of businesses and residents alike.”
A special thank you goes out to all the businesses in Sidney who participated and contributed to this report. Your input has been invaluable in creating this resource, and we look forward to building on this foundation together in the years to come. All Sidney businesses were included in this report through a current Economic Development partnership with the Town of Sidney.
Copies of the 2024 Business in Sidney Annual Snapshot are available online, and hard copies can be picked up from the Sidney Information Centre at 2281 Beacon Avenue, open daily from 10 AM to 4 PM.
