SAANICH – The Saanich Peninsula Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce its 2025–26 Board of Directors, as confirmed at the organization’s Annual General Meeting held on October 15, 2025.
The Chamber also announces a leadership transition, with Jacquie Beland appointed as Acting Executive Director. Beland brings strong operational knowledge, local relationships, and a deep commitment to the business community. The Board has expressed full confidence in her leadership as the Chamber continues advancing its strategic priorities. The Chamber also extends its sincere appreciation to Al Smith for his dedicated service and leadership during his tenure as Executive Director. His contributions have been instrumental in charting strategic change.
The Executive Committee includes: Charles (CG) Morrison, President, Jennifer Michell, Vice President, Janine Morris, Treasurer and Mark Brajer, Secretary.
Serving the second year of their two-year terms are Janine Morris, Jennifer Michell, Michael Hall, Gabriel Dhahan, and Charles (CG) Morrison.
Newly elected or re-elected directors include Angus Todd, Mark Brajer, and John Juricic.
“Our Chamber has a proud 113-year history on the Saanich Peninsula,” said CG Morrison, President of the Board. “As we look ahead to 2026, our focus is on strengthening member services, supporting local business growth, and championing regional collaboration.”
The year ahead will emphasize member engagement, advocacy for local business interests, and community initiatives such as the Tour of Industry and Mayor’s Breakfast.
