VICTORIA – Braden Wheatcroft has been in the real industry for many years, and he’s had time to reflect on his experiences.
The Director of Business Development and Broker Owner of RE/MAX Camosun has channeled that into a new Podcast, titled re•flections, which launched in October and will tackle topics that hit close to home for real estate professionals.
“This project features a number of our colleagues from Re/MAX offices on Vancouver Island, which I think is really cool,” says Wheatcroft, also known as Coach B. “Each season, we’ll be tackling topics that hit close to home for real estate professionals.”
Season One is titled ‘The Power & Perils of Real Estate Partnerships,’ a three-part deep dive into how incredibly powerful successful partnerships can be, as well as why so many of them crash and burn.
“Most importantly, we’ll explore what you can do to ensure success if you want to create a real estate partnership yourself,” he states.
All three parts of Season One were released publicly in October, with the first titled: “When Success Leaves Clues”.
Wheatcroft has put a tremendous amount of time, money, and energy into this project, as has spoken about it endlessly on social media and around his office.
“Imagine your life as a REALTOR®. But instead of working 24/7—even on vacation—you have regular, uninterrupted time off from your business,” he states. “A sales slump for a month or two? No problem, you’ve still got income flowing. And those highs and lows of the business? You’re not riding them alone anymore—you’ve got someone to share the journey with.
“That’s the promise of real estate partnerships,” Wheatcroft explains. “It’s no wonder so many agents are eager to jump in. But here’s the catch: most partnerships don’t just fail—they fail epically.”
What goes wrong? If partnerships have so much potential, why do they so often end in pain? And more importantly, is there a way to unlock the power of partnerships while avoiding the pitfalls?
“These are some of the things we dive deep into in our first season of re•flections: The Power & Perils of Real Estate Partnerships,” he adds.
Wheatcroft is very connected in the coaching community, and he comes across other business coaches “who work not just on your business, but on your mind, body and soul.”
RE/MAX agents working on the project are Laurie Lidstone and Nancy Di Castri, Mitch Lidstone and Danny Cox, Shane King, Tony Joe and Bonnie Leard.
“We also had contributions from Victoria Lawyer Jesse Mullin, Marriage Counsellor Ginger Henderson and top Real Estate Business Coach Dana Richard,” he adds.
