In order to expand the RapidBus service, BC Transit and the Victoria Regional Transit Commission are looking for input on two proposed changes: the introduction of a new Route 16 Uptown/UVic that would travel on Cedar Hill Cross Road and a Route 40 Dockyard/UVic that would travel on Admirals and McKenzie.

Sidney is amending its Zoning Bylaw to meet the new Official Community Plan and Provincial housing regulations. Council gave Zoning Bylaw 2275 first and second readings after community discussion and changes, and a bylaw public hearing is scheduled for June 24th.

The Town of Sidney announced the completion of a new playground at Philip Brethour Park in West Sidney. The funding came from the Province’s Growing Communities Fund ($156,600) and Kal Tire‘s $20,000 community program, Kal’s Replay Fund.
