A distribution partnership has been announced by Sunshine Earth Labs Ltd., a Canadian biosciences firm, and PharmaPac, an American provider of point-of-care medication dispensing solutions, to distribute Sunshine Earth Labs Ltd.’s harm reduction products worldwide. The new Naloxone delivery system will be distributed exclusively in Canada, the EU, the UK, and Australia by Waxed International, a subsidiary of Sunshine Labs, under this exclusive agreement.

Caledonia Place, previously referred to as Tiny Town, is the revised name that will be applied to the sea canister housing development situated on Caledonia Avenue. Supported by the Homeless Encampment Action Response Temporary Housing (HEARTH) program, the province has declared their intention to reestablish operations in the region.

BC Finance Minister Katrine Conroy announced the Employer Health Tax exemption for businesses with payrolls up to $1 million at the presentation of the province’s 2024 budget.

On February 29th, Recurrent Energy will host an open house to showcase their proposed 100-megawatt solar project. The project would cover 235 hectares, which is located east of the Jordan River, between the Sandcut and Jacob creeks.

Metchosin Soap Works, a Sooke-based company, is currently recruiting for part-time and full-time positions in the Idlemore Road area.

Plans are in place for a mixed-use rental and commercial building at 6676 Sooke Road and Townsend Road. The developer intends to include 20 to 40 rental units in the building, which will vary in size, along with a maximum of 3,800 square feet of ground floor commercial space.

The Town of Sidney and the Vancouver Island Regional Library are lending four bike repair kits to the Sidney/North Saanich branch for a week.
