VICTORIA – Some Island Businesses were winners at the recent 2022 BC Tourism & Hospitality Awards. The British Columbia Hotel Association (BCHA) and Tourism Industry Association of BC (TIABC) announced the winners during the 2022 Awards Gala on March 10, presented by Indigenous Tourism BC.
Nine awards were given out that recognize and celebrate excellence within British Columbia’s tourism & hospitality industry. We would like to congratulate all winners and finalists for their outstanding contribution, remarkable leadership, and for raising the bar for our industry – well done!
Teara Fraser, founder and Lead Executive of Iskwew Air was winner of the Businesswoman of the Year Award. The award was sponsored by Prince of Whales.
Accent Inns & Hotel Zed were the winners of the Employees First Award, sponsored by go2HR.
Hotelier of the Year, Sponsored by BCDMOA was won by David Roper, General Manager of the Old House Hotel & Spa.
Malahat SkyWalk was the winner of the Innovation Award, which was sponsored by the City of Richmond.
