EVO CAR SHARE EXPANDS OPERATIONS INTO LANGFORD

August 12, 2025

LANGFORD – Langford residents and visitors can now enjoy more flexible transportation options with the expansion of BCAA’s Evo Car Share program in the city. Residents now have access to the 175 Evo cars already in the Victoria area. The expansion connects Langford with Evo’s Victoria-area Home Zone, including existing satellite parking zones located at UVic and Camosun College.

“As Langford grows, so does the need for flexible and environmentally responsible transportation,” said Mayor Scott Goodmanson. “The introduction of Evo Car Share in Langford strengthens our partnership with BCAA and reinforces our commitment to innovative transportation solutions. These initiatives help meet our climate goals, reduce traffic congestion, and improve accessibility for all residents.”

As part of Evo’s latest expansion on Vancouver Island, drivers can now start and end their trips in Langford anywhere within the new Evo zone in the city. Six Evo parking spots will soon be located in public parking lots along Station Avenue (between Jacklin Road and Veterans Memorial Parkway), with additional parking available on a section of Atkins Road (between Veterans Memorial Parkway and approximately 636 Atkins Road). Reserved spaces will ensure there are dedicated spots available for Evos, and if spots are full, members may also park in any available parking stall.

“We’re excited for Evo to continue working closely with the City of Langford, and to help give residents easier and more affordable ways to get around,” says Amitis Khorsandi, VP, Evo Car Share.

The Evo Car Share App is available for free download on both iOS and Android. Once signed up, members can find, reserve, and unlock vehicles, e-bikes, and e-scooters directly from their smartphones.

This new service builds on the recent launch of BCAA’s Evolve e-bikes and e-scooters program, which rolled out in Langford in June, with 75 e-bikes, and 75 e-scooters at 30 stations across the city, offering residents an accessible, affordable, and convenient way to travel.
