WEST SHORE CHAMBER: CONNECTING WITH COMMUNITY

WEST SHORE – We had a brilliant time celebrating with our community at our Viva La WestShore casino night event on April 12, held in partnership with Title Sponsor Elements Casino Victoria. With a “James Bond” theme optional (as it came second; the winner of the poll was “please don’t torment me with a theme”), people came dressed up in a multitude of ways to play table games, enjoy a cocktail courtesy of Libations Sponsor Pearlman Lindholm Barristers & Solicitors, and network.

Food kept coming throughout the night to fuel people’s generous support of our live and silent auctions. The proceeds from the auctions are going to the Vancouver Island Y’s Financial Assistance Program to help send kids to Camp Thunderbird, and we were delighted to raise over $4,000 on the night, with an additional donation to the Program from a WestShore Chamber member. The campaign continues for anyone who would like to donate, and you can find out more at vancouverislandy.com

Our community is made up of many parts, and next month we’re looking forward to connecting with women entrepreneurs. On June 19, we’re holding a lunch and learn at Royal Colwood Golf Club, bringing women together to network and learn more about the Business Breakthrough Blueprint program we’re offering from September.

The Blueprint is designed for woman who have been in business three or more years and are interested in taking a journey of personal and business growth. Emerging research indicates that the keys to business success in the future will not be strategy, money, or the best product or service. They will be emotional intelligence, self-awareness, and resilience. The Business Breakthrough Blueprint will take participants through a series of deep dives into these key growth areas.

To find out more about this and other initiatives, you can sign up for our e-news on our “Contact Us” page or follow us on LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, or X. We’re here to help!
