VANCOUVER ISLAND – A refreshed space can often usher in a new era of inspiration and innovation. If that’s true, then an entirely new office can be a renaissance of sorts. At least that’s how the team at Città Construction Ltd. feels about their new workspace in Saanichton, BC.

The commercial and residential development company is celebrating its 38th year in the industry, and with that milestone comes a unique office that reflects the multi-directional expertise that has separated Città Group from its competitors for the last three decades.

“Combining in-house design and project development with construction and millwork services has allowed us to assist with the full project cycle,” said Mike Dalton, President at Città Group. “We’ve become a building partner to many local developers because of our integration of services and our repeat work with developers is a testament to that success.”

Citta’s new office houses their accounting, millwork shop, project management and design teams.

Founded in 1985, Città Group began its journey by working primarily on heritage restorations of Victoria’s well-known landmark buildings in Old Town such as the Swans Hotel and Chintz & Co. Through the years, the company’s experience expanded to commercial, light industrial, custom luxury homes, multi-family and planned community subdivisions within Greater Victoria and Southern Vancouver Island.

“The diversity of our projects has attracted an eclectic team of joiners, carpenters and managers, all lead by the strength of our design department, giving us the ability to tackle a wide variety of projects while keeping us focused on continuing to be design sensitive builders,” said Dalton.

Being design sensitive has become not only a skill, but a necessity as green building and sustainability continue to be critical components to all new developments, regardless of whether they are commercial or residential.

Città Group was introduced to green building 25 years ago during the construction of a luxury straw bale home on the Saanich peninsula, and that passion continues today with Città being a proud member of Built Green Canada. In fact, Città Group recently partnered with the organization for a pilot project to build the first Built Green commercial building in Victoria, something the company takes great pride in and hopes to expand upon as their portfolio grows.

“As we learn and mature, we hope to continue to push the capabilities of eco-friendly construction in the Southern Vancouver Island area while also providing impeccable quality and service to our loyal customers, both new and old,” said Dalton.
