VICTORIA — In a move that feels less like a hiring and more like a long-anticipated alignment, Ron Neal and Chris Troke have officially joined forces at REMAX Generation – The Neal Estate Group, launching a dedicated Commercial Real Estate Division designed to serve investors, developers, and business owners across Greater Victoria and Vancouver Island.

Both Troke and Neal believe this is the right time to make the move.

“The timing couldn’t be better,” says Ron. “We’ve built a strong foundation in residential real estate and property management, but our clients have been asking for more sophisticated commercial guidance. Chris brings that depth. More importantly, he brings alignment in values. This isn’t just about adding a service line, it’s about elevating how we serve clients across the entire real estate spectrum.”

Chris states there were several factors that encouraged him to join The Neal Estate Group.

“It’s the combination of platform and people,” he notes. “Ron and I have known each other for over 30 years, dating back to our time as Past Presidents of the Kinsmen Clubs. There’s a shared philosophy of service there. Professionally, the Neal Estate Group has built an exceptional brand with strong systems, marketing, and reach. It creates the ideal environment to build something meaningful in commercial real estate.”

Their new Commercial Division offers something different to this market?”

“Commercial real estate is often fragmented,” Chris observes. “Investors might work with one advisor for acquisitions, another for leasing, and yet another for management. What we’re creating is a more integrated approach. Whether it’s acquiring a multi-family asset, leasing retail space, or optimizing a portfolio, we can guide clients through the full lifecycle.”

Ron adds “And that integration matters. Many of our residential clients are also investors. They’re moving into mixed-use, multi-family, or development opportunities. Now we can support them with the same level of expertise they’ve come to expect from us, just at a larger scale.”

How will this benefit commercial property owners and investors?

“It comes down to strategy and execution,” Chris explains. “We’re not just facilitating transactions, we’re advising on positioning, timing, and long-term value creation. With market conditions constantly shifting, having a team that understands both the macro trends and the local nuances of Vancouver Island is critical.”

Ron says the new division brings scale, and that their marketing reach, database, and team infrastructure will allow them to expose opportunities more effectively and execute with precision. It translates into better outcomes for our clients.

Their track record is solid.

“We’ve had the privilege of working across the spectrum,” Ron says. “On the investor side, we’ve helped clients grow and manage portfolios with a long-term lens.

A local Vancouver Island Investor, Graham Hill, owner of Island Mediquip, put it this way: “Ron and his team have been instrumental in helping us grow our real estate portfolio over the years. Their insight, professionalism, and commitment to results are unmatched. With Chris now leading their commercial division, it’s an incredibly compelling offering for anyone serious about real estate investment.”

Ron points out that on the development side, they’ve supported multi-family and condominium projects from early positioning through to sell-out.

Glen Wilson, President of Searidge Management Inc., notes “Over the past seven years I worked with Ron exclusively as our marketing and selling agent on multiple condominium projects. His team consistently achieved sales at or above market expectations, and his advice on market conditions proved invaluable. Ron conducts business with integrity and clarity, and I would recommend him without hesitation to any firm marketing multi-family projects.”

The addition of Chris to the team builds on a solid foundation.

“It completes the picture,” Chris notes. “Ron has a proven track record in project marketing and residential execution at scale. My focus is on commercial acquisitions, leasing, and investment strategy. Together, we can now support clients from land acquisition through to stabilization and long-term portfolio growth.

“This is about building something enduring. We’re here to help clients make smarter decisions and achieve better outcomes.”

Ron adds: “If you own, lease, or are considering investing in commercial real estate, you now have a team that can support you at every level, from strategy to execution. We’re ready.”
