BRITISH COLUMBIA — The British Columbia Hotel Association (BCHA) has announced the best of the best at the 2025 BCHA Awards of Excellence held on April 23 at the Westin Bayshore.
Among 20 esteemed finalists, seven individuals, businesses, and properties were honoured for their dedication to excellence and leadership in the industry.
“The 2025 BCHA Awards of Excellence recipients are true leaders in our industry,” said Paul Hawes, President and CEO of the BCHA. “Their passion and commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences reflect the heart of hospitality in British Columbia. These individuals and properties represent the strength, vibrancy, and professionalism that define our sector. We are honoured to celebrate their achievements as part of this year’s BCHA Summit.”

Housekeeping Excellence – The Cove Lakeside Resort
Hotelier of the Year – Kimberley Hughes, Delta Hotels Victoria Ocean Pointe
Sustainability Champion – Sandman Hotel Group
Leader of the Future – Eddie Salehi, Delta Hotels by Marriott Kamloops
Community Contribution Award – Lisa Jaager, Summerland Waterfront Resort & Spa
Culinary Excellence – Mitch Shafer, Delta Hotels by Marriott Kamloops
