VICTORIA – The British Columbia Restaurant and Foodservices Association (BCRFA) announced the addition of two new industry partners as it relates to the third party food delivery space. These partnerships were developed to serve our BCRFA members and the restaurant industry. The BCRFA welcomes Moduurn and Tutti.
Both companies are founded in British Columbia companies and are based in Victoria, as well as offer premium customer service and serve the needs of our industry.
“The BCRFA has been looking for a long-term made in BC solution to the very important and costly issue of food delivery. Throughout North America and in BC, delivery commission rates from companies such as Skip the Dishes, Uber Eats and DoorDash approach 30 per cent, effectively negating any profit. The BC Government recently brought in regulation to cap these fees to 15 per cent temporarily. This is very appreciated but once the cap is off, fees from these companies will escalate again to the detriment of our industry,” said Ian Tostenson President and CEO of BCRFA.
“The pandemic has caused a shift in take-out and delivery sales. Prior to the pandemic, take-out and delivery accounted for 20 per cent of overall sales. Today, it is approaching 45-50 per cent of restaurant sales. This trend is here to stay and helping our industry reduce cost while maintaining a high level of service is a priority for us. Both Tutti and Moduurn will provide this and more,” he added.
MODUURN is offering reduced set-up and subscription rates for BCRFA members, as well as introductory offer for non-members. Are you renting your customer, or do you own your customer? We are here to help. Our in-house marketing team works closely with each business to build traction to their new on-line ordering platform – then we monitor your success to ensure you are getting positive results.”
