VICTORIA – One of Greater Victoria’s favourite food festivals returns in 2024, providing locals and visitors alike an opportunity to enjoy the region’s world-class culinary scene and make a night of it. Now in its twentieth year, Dine Around and Stay in Town Victoria runs from January 26 to February 11, 2024, and features a dozen hotels and more than 45 restaurants in the Greater Victoria area.

Destination Greater Victoria and the BC Restaurant and Food Services Association, Victoria Branch are once again teaming up to organize the popular event with support from Premiere sponsors Sysco and Gordon Food Service. Dine Around and Stay in Town offers participants an opportunity to choose from set menus at deliciously low prices: $25, $35, $45, $55 or $65, and take advantage of special room rates from participating hotels ranging from $149 to $269.

“When Dine Around and Stay in Town started in 2004, the idea was to create a special event that would help both local businesses and the public, celebrate the growing food scene, and support restaurants during the off-peak season,” said Paul Nursey, CEO of Destination Greater Victoria. “Today, the event is incredibly popular and Victoria’s food scene is hailed as one of the best in the world. Chefs, restauranteurs, and hoteliers continue to push boundaries to elevate the visitor experience, making the region a must-visit spot for local and out-of-town foodies.”

“For 20 years, this dining event has brought people with a passion for food and drink together,” said Peter DeBruyn, Provincial Chair, BC Restaurant and Food Services Association. “I encourage everyone to enjoy an incredible meal created by some of the best chefs and restaurateurs in the Greater Victoria area. The support from this event maintains the vibrancy of our local restaurant scene at what is typically a slower time of year.”

To kick things off, the Dine Around and Stay in Town Gala will take place January 25 at the Victoria Conference Centre. Tickets to the Gala are available to people 19 years of age or older. The Gala features tasty bites, a variety of beverages from BC wineries, craft breweries and other purveyors, as well as lively entertainment. Restaurants will showcase their Dine Around menus and take reservations while on site. It’s anticipated the restaurants, wineries, and breweries will serve approximately 525 guests at the Gala, while building excitement for the endless dining experiences that await during the 17-day Dine Around and Stay in Town 2024 program.
