CAMPBELL RIVER – Tourism Vancouver Island will be hosting its 2015 Industry Conference and Annual General Meeting (AGM) September 15 to 17 in Campbell River. The event will take place at the world famous Painters Lodge Resort, which itself is a major regional tourist attraction. The 52nd Tourism Vancouver Island Conference and AGM will begin with its traditional Golf Tournament, held this year at Campbell River’s Sequoia Springs Golf Course.
The Tourism Vancouver Island traditions continue as the conference community is given the opportunity to host the welcome reception. Surrounded by water, mountains and rain forests, Campbell River and region is breathtaking. Located on the East side of Vancouver Island mid-way between Victoria and Port Hardy; with miles of waterfront visitors will be amazed at the opportunities to see cruise ships on their way to and from Alaska up close where the inside passage narrows.
On the afternoon of the 16th participants will have an opportunity to take part in various Campbell River-based community activities, with delegates choosing between a Shelter Point Distillery tour to sample Still Master Vodka or they can take a walk on the wild side and enjoy Elk Falls from the brand new suspension bridge.
