NEDC Board of Directors Seeks Membership Nominations

NANAIMO – Nanaimo City Council’s Nominating Committee for the Nanaimo Economic Development Corporation (NEDC) is accepting nominations for exemplary leaders in our community to actively participate on the Board of Directors of the NEDC.

The NEDC is an arm’s length for-profit corporation owned by the City of Nanaimo created to provide economic development and tourism services to the greater Nanaimo area. The NEDC Directors are an integral component of the Corporation’s effectiveness and credibility and are responsible for setting NEDC’s strategic and policy direction.

Quick Facts:

  • If you are prepared to make a three year commitment, have exemplary leadership skills in running dynamic organizations; understand Board governance; and have the passion to commit to governing the NEDC, please prepare a submission in writing outlining your background and interest in the NEDC.
  • The Nominating Committee is accepting written submissions until 4:00 p.m. Thursday, January 21, 2016.
