NANAIMOMosaic Forest Management has renewed its access agreement with Mount Washington Alpine Resort, extending the partnership that began in 2016 between the two organizations. The agreement offers Mount Washington access to roads, Nordic trails, and outback areas on Mosaic’s private forest lands.

“Our relationship with Mount Washington is an exemplary collaboration on access to Mosaic’s forest lands,” said Molly Hudson, Director of Sustainability at Mosaic. “Mount Washington consistently demonstrates a track record of responsible use and shares Mosaic’s focus on public safety and protecting the environmental values associated with our working forest.”

“Mount Washington Alpine Resort is a year-round recreation destination in the Comox Valley on Vancouver Island,” said Mount Washington General Manager, Dean Prentice. “Mount Washington is committed to preserving and enhancing the natural resources at the core of what makes Mount Washington such a special place, and our partnership with Mosaic helps us do that.”

Mosaic has long-standing access agreements with several organized groups. While enjoying access opportunities to Mosaic’s private forest lands, partners advocate for responsible stewardship of Mosaic’s forests lands by helping to reduce wildfire, vandalism and illegal dumping.
