COMOX VALLEY – Momentum is building at Comox Valley Airport with two new ultra-low-cost airlines adding a whole new level of affordability to the region. Flair Airlines was the first to announce service adding 3 weekly flights to Edmonton and Calgary next March, and Swoop will be adding 3 flights to Edmonton just in time for summer next June. We are excited to welcome these two new carriers to YQQ!
Our airport provides vital connectivity to our region, but the addition of these new carriers brings a whole new level of accessibility. Pre-COVID, we could not have imagined a low-cost carrier entering our market – but with travel patterns changing, domestic travel is looking more attractive. Now passengers have additional competitive choices, and with these options come more opportunities to connect people and businesses. In this, the Comox Valley Airport and Comox Valley Chamber are aligned; connecting people and businesses to reach beneficial goals.
The Comox Valley Airport has a long standing collaborate relationship with the Chamber, sharing similar values of integrity and commitment to economic and social sustainability. Through round tables, forums and media the Chamber connects diverse businesses, across industries. Combining this with new air service capacity to the region will help propel recovery, a worthy goal for Corporate Partners.
