GRANT FUNDING ALOCATED IN COMOX VALLEY REGIONAL DISTRICT

December 19, 2023

COMOX VALLEY – The remaining $1,617,000 from the Growing Communities Funds (GCF) was allocated at the December 5th Comox Valley Regional District meeting, to two projects that build infrastructure and amenities necessary to support growing communities. The funds are allocated as follows:

$808,500 to the new artificial turf field as described by the Comox Valley Recreation Commission; and

$808,500 to the Sewer Extension South project.

“These two projects are key pieces to the growth and sustainability of the Comox Valley,” explains CVRD Board Chair Will Cole-Hamilton. “While there a number of projects ongoing throughout the community that deserve financial attention, this funding follows the Board’s key strategic drivers and priorities while meeting the acceptance requirements of the grant. We look forward to seeing their impact for years to come.”
