NANAIMO – NAI Global has announced that its Canadian Member, NAI Commercial, has expanded its capabilities through the addition of DTZ Nanaimo in Nanaimo, British Columbia. The firm, which will be known as NAI Commercial Central Vancouver Island, effective January 1, 2016, will continue to operate under the local leadership of Bob Moss.
“We are pleased to offer our Member firms and their clients greater access and additional opportunities through NAI Commercial’s expansion into this market,” said NAI Global President Jay Olshonsky, SIOR, FRICS. “We have the highest level of confidence in the team’s continued ability to represent NAI Global throughout Canada.”
Established by Moss in 1993, the team includes 13 real estate professionals offering integrated commercial brokerage, property management and consulting services. The addition these professionals bring the NAI Commercial professional staff to 62 throughout British Columbia and 260 across Canada. NAI Commercial operates ten offices in Alberta, Ontario, Quebec, Nova Scotia and British Columbia.
“We are excited to join NAI Global as part of NAI Commercial,” said Moss. “As the commercial real estate market continues to consolidate NAI Global is the best option for independent brokers and owners to remain competitive without sacrificing independence. Now that we are part of NAI, we can offer our clients access to local experts anywhere in the world, and our employees expanded opportunities for skills development and career exploration.”
The Central Vancouver Island region is a growing economic area which brings a steady flow of new real estate opportunities for local, national and global real estate investors and developers.
“NAI Commercial has been looking for opportunities to expand its footprint in British Columbia,” said Rob DesBrisay, Managing Partner for NAI Commercial in British Columbia. “Bob and his team are a great fit for our collaborative culture, and bring an impressive track record in commercial real estate, coupled with a comprehensive knowledge and passion for the Vancouver Island community. Having them join NAI Commercial adds an exciting dimension of experience and market connectivity to our business.”
