Achieving Post-Pandemic Prosperity With Chamber Corporate Partner Grant Thornton LLP

DIANNE HAWKINS

COMOX VALLEY – A prosperous post-COVID future begins with a unified business community – one that works together to move the Vancouver Island economy forward. To achieve this goal, its important to create opportunities that allow local businesses to share their ideas, best practice and know-how with others that may benefit from their experience.

Grant Thornton LLP and the Comox Valley Chamber of Commerce recently co-hosted a roundtable session with 2020 Chamber nominees, businesses and organizations that, according to their community, demonstrated outstanding excellence, innovation and success during an unprecedented and exceptionally difficult year. The goal was to connect with exceptional business leaders to gain valuable insights into the strategies and thinking that led to their success. We’d like to share some of their key teachings so businesses like yours can leverage their experiences to help reinvent, re-position or adapt to find success in a post-COVID reality.

Strategy 1 – Approach your digital presence as a long-term commitment

Strategy 2 – Leverage outside expertise

Strategy 3 – Collaborate with the business community

Strategy 4 – Take advantage of support programs

Looking forward – there’s no question that our world has changed – and to thrive throughout 2021 and beyond, Vancouver Island businesses need to change along with it.  This is by no means is an easy task, which is why it can be helpful to turn to others for advice and inspiration. Like the rest of us, our roundtable participants are still learning as they go, but they believe that collaboration, community support and a willingness to adapt, have all been integral in mapping this new terrain. Our business community is at its strongest when we work together and share the strategies that work.

Whether you require experienced advisors to answer your business questions and find the way forward – or the support of your local Chamber to connect you with like-minded businesses or funding programs – Grant Thornton and the Comox Valley Chamber are here for you, every step of the way.  FMI contact the Comox Valley Chamber at 250-334-3234 – Building good business and great community – TOGETHER.
