NANAIMO – Nominations are officially open for the 2024 Commercial Building Awards: Central/North Vancouver Island, marking the event’s 17th year!
The nomination deadline for submissions is Wednesday, March 13th at 5PM, with winners announced at an evening gala on April 11th at the Vancouver Island Conference Centre in Nanaimo. 200+ construction and development sector professionals will be in attendance.
The Nomination Form is available here. Projects must be completed during the 2023 calendar year, and located between the Malahat and North Vancouver Island to be eligible.
New to this year’s event are the following:
- Category Winners Marketing Package. Each category winner will receive a marketing package valued at $2,500, which includes a story on the project and organizations involved in it, and promotion across Business Examiner platforms and social media. These features will reach 40,000 business owners and leaders across the Island.
- Hall of Fame Addition. Following the event, category winners will be published on the new BC Building Awards Hall of Fame website, which will be a permanent record of construction and development excellence across the province.

There is also the Judge’s Choice Award for best overall, selected from the top ranked category winner from the entire event.
Judging will be completed by a panel of 3rd party volunteer judges, to be announced at a later date.
