Alumacraft will now be part of the Bryton Marine Group, based in Vernon

VERNONBryton Marine Group has signed an agreement with BRP Inc. of Quebec to purchase the assets of its subsidiary, St. Peter, Minnesota-based Alumacraft.

Established in 1992, Bryton Marine Group is North America’s largest privately owned welded aluminum boat builder, with six brands and five business units specializes in manufacturing aluminum boats from 17 to 150 feet. Is a Platinum Member of Canada’s Best Managed Companies. They have five companies: All American Marine, BRIX Marine, EagleCraft, KingFisher Boats and Renaissance Marine Group.

BRP’s decision to sell its marine businesses was announced as it focuses on their core Powersports activities. The transaction is projected to close by the end of BRP’s first quarter this year.

BRP Inc.’s other marine brands have included Manitou, Telwater, Quintrex, Stacer, Save and Yellowfin, and the sale process excludes all activities related to its Sea-Doo personal watercraft and Sea-Doo Switch pontoons and jet propulsion systems.
