Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada has released the Sunpunch apple, according to Summerland Varieties Corp., which oversees intellectual property rights on behalf of fruit breeders. The company disclosed that the Sunpunch apple variety will be distributed to Canadian consumers through a partnership with Martin’s Family Fruit Farm of Ontario and British Columbia, Algoma Orchards of Ontario, and Verger des Bois-Francs of Quebec.
