The Parks and Public Lands Amendment Bylaw No. 35-102, 2025, was adopted by the Council to permit a pilot program for responsible alcohol consumption in Riverside Park. The program will run from summer until October 1, 2025, and will allow the public to bring their own alcohol to consume in a designated area around the Rotary Bandshell.

A report requesting permission to temporarily borrow funds from the Municipal Finance Authority of British Columbia for Build Kamloops projects, such as the construction of the arena multiplex, the Kamloops Centre for the Arts, and the planning and development of future recreation facilities, was presented to Council by Lewis Hill, the City’s Financial Services Manager.
