Enso Group Developments shared an announcement of the forthcoming redevelopment project at Skaha Lake, a shoreline in Penticton that is considered one of Canada’s finest beach destinations. This project will convert the 70-room Skaha Lake Motels (Waterfront Inn, Beachside, and Sunny Beach) into a dynamic blend of housing, hotel, and retail spaces as part of the future Skaha plan.
The Dion Eden-designed Apex Alpine Disc Golf Course is currently under construction; however, it is now viable for play. The new disc golf course was set up by the Lower Similkameen Disc Golf Club and the Apex Community Association.

The Sicamous planning and development committee approved a new 38-unit commercial complex on a vacant lot at 1002 Seed Frontage Road. The development proposal is expected to be discussed and potentially approved during the upcoming District of Sicamous council meeting on September 11.

The inaugural Barker Invitational Golf Tournament, which will benefit summer sports in Summerland, will take place on October 6th at the Summerland Golf and Country Club. An online auction has been launched as part of the event.
The second annual Light Up the Camp event was held at Lightning Rock Winery, featuring a delicious pulled pork and brisket buffet from Summerland Smoke Shack, and desserts from Giants Head Kitchen. The event was able to raise a total of $6,700 which will be used to develop a fire mitigation system at Agur Lake Camp.
On September 8, the Critteraid Animal Sanctuary in Summerland will be hosting an exclusive black cat adoption event.
