SALMON ARM – The Salmon Arm Chamber of Commerce is gearing up for a busy fall, as we push forward with our strategic plan to engage and empower our business community. Our upcoming training sessions and events are designed to sharpen skills and boost awareness, helping local businesses thrive in an ever-evolving landscape.

We’re absolutely thrilled to announce that Grant Thornton LLP has joined us as the title sponsor for the 2024 Business Excellence Awards! This prestigious event, making its return to Salmon Arm after several years, is more than just a night of recognition. It’s a celebration of the dedication, innovation, and impact that our local businesses and organizations bring to the community.

If you’re looking for a way to showcase your brand’s commitment to excellence and community spirit, sponsorship opportunities are still available. It’s a fantastic chance to align your brand with the best of the best. Nominations for the awards open on September 9th, with the criteria now available on our website.

We’re also excited to share that the 2024 Provincial All Candidates Forum is set for October 2nd at 6:30 pm at the Salmar Classic Theatre. As a bi-partisan organization, we’re committed to fostering informed discussions and providing our community with the chance to engage directly with all three party candidates. This forum is a must-attend for voters looking to hear each candidate’s vision and address community concerns. We’re taking questions in advance through our website, so make sure your voice is heard!

In addition to these major events, we’ve locked in the dates and locations for the remaining Business After Business networking events for 2024. These gatherings are a cornerstone of what we do at the Chamber, offering members and future members a relaxed, informal space to connect, share ideas, and build valuable relationships. Attendance is free, making it an easy and effective way to engage with fellow business leaders.

We’re also gauging interest in a Governance Training Session, tentatively scheduled for Saturday, October 26th. This all-day session is tailored for board members and executive directors, focusing on essential governance skills and best practices to ensure your organization is running smoothly and effectively.

Please note that our office will be closed from Thursday, August 29th, until 9 am on Monday, September 9th. During this closure, follow us on Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn for all the latest updates on events, training sessions, and partnership opportunities.

For more details on any of these events or to inquire about sponsorship opportunities, please visit our website or reach out to us directly. We’re looking forward to an exciting and impactful fall season together!
