RAINSTICK SHOWERS TO BE INCLUDED IN HEWING HAUS MODULAR HOMES

Inventors, Sean and Alisha, grew up in an area of water stress and were tired of heating 100L of water during their shower and seeing it literally go down the drain, each and every time.

KELOWNA/ABBOTSFORD – Sustainable shower technology developer RainStick has announced a partnership with construction firm Hewing Haus to include their units in their modular homes.

RainStick, founded in 2019, has developed North America’s first recirculating shower, which provides up to 80 percent water ad energy savings as well as twice the pressure to modular homes across North America.

RainStick was named to TIME’s List of the Best Inventions of 2023, Cleantech’s “50 To Watch” list, received the Best of KBIS 2022 Impact Award, Bluetech Forum’s Best Water Innovation award, the CES 2022 Best of Innovation Award and earned first place in the 2022 KBIS Kickstarter Awards.

Every part of the homes are built indoors, which means we have no weather delays and no moisture-impacting materials. Our efficiencies are higher, there’s very little on-site construction disturbance, and way less material waste.

“Both RainStick and Hewing Haus, envision modular and prefabrication as the future of home building and share a commitment to energy efficiency, quality craftsmanship, and environmental sustainability,” says RainStick CEO Alisha McFetridge. “Through this partnership, we aim to revolutionize the residential landscape by offering luxurious and eco-friendly shower experiences within Hewing Haus’s rapidly deployable homes.”

Hewing Haus offers six designed models across North America. Their modular homes are constructed using sustainable materials and feature unique designs suitable for recreational getaways, accessory dwelling units, or primary residences.

“The Vancouver International Boat Show and Vancouver Home and Garden Show were the place to be in late January and early February if you wanted to check out luxury, mixed with functionality and sustainability,” notes Jarris Neufeld of Hewing Haus, adding the company’s booth was a major draw to the event, and the partnership is “standing on the launch pad. Their businesses are intertwined with sustainable, functional, elegant yet very useful features.

“We at Hewing Haus are excited about the future of modular building and working with RainStick to pull the industry standard to new heights.”

Integrating RainStick Shower into Hewing Haus modular homes represents synergy between sustainable living and modern luxury. RainStick’s technology provides showers while conserving water and energy, aligning seamlessly with the principles of Hewing Haus homes.
