KELOWNA – The Okanagan Mainline Real Estate Board (OMREB), the largest regional real estate board in the BC Interior, is pleased to announce their new Board of Directors.
Kim Heizmann, a licensed realtor and Associate Broker in the Vernon area, was elected President, leading a Board of 10 realtors, and succeeding President Michael Loewen, who will continue as Past President.
“It is an interesting time to step into such a position, to say the least. But through my past experiences on the Board and my dedication to the industry, I am more than ready to lead during this challenging time,” says Heizmann.
“I look forward to playing an active role – alongside my fellow Directors – in OMREB’s continued delivery of strong advocacy, professional development and exciting new technology and tools that will help our members continue to serve local real estate consumers responsibly within the essential services guidelines.”
Heizmann brings over 13 years of being in the industry to the Board table, as well as extensive experience and knowledge having served as a Board Member since 2015 and on various committees and taskforces. Dean Desrosiers succeeds Heizmann in the role of Vice President.
In addition to Heizmann, Desrosiers, and Past President Loewen, the full 2020/2021 OMREB Board of Directors include Maria Besso, Don Gagnon, Brad Marsh, Joe Pearson, Jerry Redman, Blake Roberts, Karen Singbeil and Bob Wood.
The new Board of Directors take office effective immediately and supports the work of approximately 1300 local realtors, which, in turn, offer protection and peace of mind for local real estate consumers
