KAMLOOPS

The audited financial statements of Kamloops were presented to Council by Mario Piroddi of BDO Canada LLP. No changes were recommended for the City’s financial strategy or internal controls in the April 2024 audit. A fresh $40 million liability is included in the financial statements, which is in line with the City’s financial situation historically. The continuous and predicted decline in long-term debt per capita allows the City to borrow money for future projects.

The Salmon Arm Chamber of Commerce welcomes its newest member, Virginia Dawson Real Estate a Licensed Realtor®️ serving the Shuswap and surrounding area.

In a special meeting on Monday, April 29, the Salmon Arm Council authorized an increase for the Sterile Insect Release Program parcel tax. This program is intended to combat infestations of codling moths, which are mostly found in apple orchards.
