KELOWNA – The Kelowna Chamber of Commerce launched its call for nominations of outstanding Top 40 over 40 applicants for 2023. Ken Carmichael, Market Leader for the BC Interior, BDO Canada LLP has enthusiastically backed the program since its inception with the Chamber.
Carmichael said, “BDO is excited to once again work with the Kelowna Chamber of Commerce to present the Top 40 program and celebrate some of the fantastic business leaders in our community. We’ve sponsored the Top 40 program and events for nine years now and are continually amazed by the individual leadership and business acumen the award winners put into Kelowna’s growth and success. We have such a vibrant and growing business community and BDO sees our celebration in this area as a great focus for all of us.”
“There is a wealth of talent and experience in the ‘over 40’ cohort of business and organization leaders in Kelowna,” says Chamber President/Chair Pamela Pearson. “This program rewards that skill and depth of knowledge with community awareness of many of our unsung local heroes.”
Former Honouree Colleen Fitzpatrick, Executive Director and changemaker at the Rotary Centre for the Arts says “The Top 40 programs bring together a network of community-minded executive leaders and entrepreneurs that builds a foundation to deepen current relations or create new ones. By building out a strong community network we create a culture to be inspired and motivated while learning from each other’s stories. It’s been a very positive experience to be recognized by the Chamber through this program”
Matt Stewart, Chief Operations Officer for Mamas for Mamas and a Top 40 Over 40 Honouree from the 2021 program says “The Top 40 Over 40 is an excellent opportunity to nominate someone who has not asked for recognition but has made an important impact in our community. Let’s come together to champion Kelowna’s change makers.”
Nominations are open now at https://gammatech.wufoo.com/forms/m7l5co30k1s5ws/ and close Tuesday, February 28. Recognition profiles will begin in media in March. At the end of summer, the Chamber will host a wrap party celebrating all 40 Honourees.
