KELOWNA – Year-round service to Seattle is coming back to YLW according to an announcement by Alaska Airlines.
Alaska Airlines has confirmed the year-round flights between Kelowna International Airport and Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA).
Alaska Airlines will offer non-stop flights with connections to destinations across the Alaska Airlines network to destinations such as Hawaii, Chicago and LA.
Beginning January 2025, WestJet will also begin a deaily service to Seattle. With the Seattle flights, there will be an increase is accessibility to the flight networks within the U.S. with partners Delta Air Lines.
Alaska Airlines with resume Seattle flights December 19, 2024, once daily with the addition of some extra daily flights in February and March.
WestJet is set to start January 17, 2025 offering flights five times per week and daily from February 17, 2025.
“As we continue to strengthen our service across Western Canada, we are proud to connect Kelowna with new daily WestJet service to Seattle as part of our expanded winter schedule,” said John Weatherill, WestJet Executive Vice-President and Chief Commercial Officer. “This route will provide guests in the Okanagan and across the Pacific Northwest regions with new convenient and affordable options to easily connect between both popular regions for business and leisure year-round.”
According to Sam Samaddar, Kelowna International Airport Chief Executive Officer, Westjet has been a valued parter with YLW for 28 years.
