KAMLOOPS – The Kamloops & District Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce significant changes to its Board of Directors, reflecting a strategic move to infuse fresh perspectives and expertise into its leadership team after the departure of Tim Shoults, the 2023-2024 Chamber President, who is relocating.

These changes mark an exciting chapter for the Chamber as it continues to champion local businesses and foster economic growth within the Kamloops community.

Leading the new era of the Chamber leadership is Cindy Piva, an accomplished entrepreneur and business strategist. As the new President of the Board of Directors, Piva brings a wealth of expertise from her role at Thrive Business Strategies, where she has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to business development and innovation, Piva’s visionary leadership is poised to guide the Chamber toward great success.

In addition to the change in leadership, the Chamber is thrilled to welcome two new dynamic individuals to its Board of Directors, Shannon Mitchell and Korah DeWalt-Gagnon. Both Mitchell and DeWalt-Gagnon bring distinctive experiences and perspectives to the table, further enhancing the Chamber’s ability to address the evolving needs of Kamloops’ business community.

Shannon Mitchell, known for her impactful work at Castanet Kamloops, possesses a deep understanding of local media and community engagement. Her insights into effective communication and community relations will undoubtably contribute to the Chamber’s efforts to connect businesses with the public.

Korah DeWalt-Gagnon, a seasoned leader within the Mining Industry, has a background in the mining sector and brings a vital industry perspective to the Board. DeWalt-Gagnon’s expertise will play a role in shaping the Chamber’s initiatives with respect to Inclusion, Diversity, Equity and Accessibility.
