KAMLOOPS – It’s time to celebrate local business! From the snowy mountains of Sun Peaks to the ranchers of Pritchard, the Thompson-Nicola Region is home to world-class innovators that put our communities on the map – nominate them for a business excellence award.
Small business is the backbone of the economy created by hardworking neighbours, friends, and family members. As the community works towards economic recovery, the Kamloops & District Chamber of Commerce and MNP invite you to use this opportunity to nominate the people who power our region for a Business Excellence Award in 16 diverse and inclusive award categories.
Executive Director, Acacia Pangilinan, says, “We are making major strides to live our values as an inclusive organization. First, we modernized our name, now I am pleased to announce a new award category, the Indigenous Business Excellence Award presented by T’kemlúps te Secwépemc. Our region is home to many unique talents that our Chamber is proud to represent. Let’s celebrate our distinctiveness by nominating a local business worthy of recognition”
In 2022, after two years of a decentralized version of the awards gala, the Chamber is heading back to the ballroom at the Coast Hotel & Conference Centre this October.
Jessy Sra, Partner for MNP, “At MNP, we believe in supporting the communities where we live and being part of these awards for the fourth year has been an incredible opportunity to support our community’s local businesses. We work with entrepreneurs every day to help them realize their business dreams, and it is exciting to see any business being recognized for the great work they do in this community, for their employees and their customers.”
Nominations for the Business Excellence Awards are open until May 31, 2022 @ 11:59 PDT. Businesses within 60 KM of Kamloops are eligible. Additional details and a nomination form can be found at kamloopschamber.ca.
