KAMLOOPS – The community of Kamloops will recognize ‘Hay and Donaldson’ as names synonymous with tires and full mechanical services as the team celebrates 50 years of business. But the milestone also brings with it some pretty large changes for the business.
“We’ve been thinking a lot about this change,” says Alan Hay. “Effective as of July 1, we’ll be joining the Integra Tire and Auto Centre family, a move we’re excited about as it will bring about some great benefits to not only our stores, but also to our valued customers too. Echoing Alan is North Shore Integra Tire and Auto Centre owner Mike Donaldson.
“Although Integra may not have a very well-known name and reputation in Kamloops yet, we plan to change that,” says Donaldson. “Integra Tire and Auto Centre is a Canadian network of dedicated tire and automotive service shops and we’ll be bringing the name to our North and South Shore locations.”
Mike Donaldson and Alan Hay are continuing the tradition of great service their fathers started back in 1966 in Kamloops under the Big O Tires brand. The name change marks the start of a new chapter for the new generation of Hay and Donaldson, and the stores will still remain independently owned and operated. Integra Tire and Auto Centre is also pleased to have two Kamloops stores join their family.
“At Integra Tire, we first and foremost seek dealers that demonstrate what we call Integra-ty,” says Martin Labossiere, Director of Affiliated Dealer Programs for Integra Tire and Auto Centre. “Integra-ty is all about treating your customers right, building trust, and never compromising on your values. Mike and Alan have been demonstrating this for decades in the community with their outstanding commitment to service. They will make a great addition and we are more than excited to welcome them to the Integra Tire family!”
