VERNON – The City of Vernon is now accepting applications for the fall 2024 intake of the Council Discretionary Grant program. These grants are available to non-profit organizations and registered societies that contribute to the general interest and quality of life for Vernon residents.
The fall application period is open from October 1 to 31, with the submission deadline at 11:59 p.m. on October 31. Please note that late or incomplete applications will not be considered.
New for October 2024: The Council Discretionary Grant application process has transitioned to an online format. Paper applications will no longer be accepted.
Applicants must submit their materials through the City of Vernon’s online portal.
To be eligible for consideration, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Be community-based.
- Provide a unique service not offered by another group or organization. Submit only one application per calendar year.
- Be a non-profit organization or registered society.
Required Application Materials:
- A completed online application.
- The most recent set of financial statements.
- Minutes from the most recent annual general meeting.
- A list of executive members (including positions held, addresses, and contact information).
- Confirmation of registered society status.
- A profile and history of the organization’s accomplishments.
