KELOWNA – The Built Group has expanded its offerings with the acquisition of Lake Country Modular. This strategic move combines Built Prefab‘s innovative design and manufacturing with Lake Country Modular’s diverse, energy-efficient and ready-to-ship inventory, providing more high-quality affordable housing options across British Columbia.

With modular housing having emerged as a solution for bylaw changes allowing secondary homes on properties and low income housing needs, there has been an increase in demand for this affordable alternative.

The homes are constructed in sections or modules in a factory setting, where weather does not control the process, and then moved to the site and assembled. They offer designs that comply with the latest bylaws for secondary homes.

James Rosowsky, CEO of Built Prefab, commented, “We’re thrilled about this opportunity to expand our range of products and contribute positively to addressing BC’s housing crisis. The integration of Lake Country Modular into our group will streamline project timelines, enhance efficiency, and reinforce our shared commitment to sustainable, high-quality construction.”

Both companies will maintain their existing brands, with Built Prefab specializing in mid to high-end modern modular homes, and Lake Country Modular focusing on attainable, high-quality manufactured, modular, multi-family, and First Nations housing.
