The Pacific Economic Development Agency of Canada (PacifiCan) has committed more than $1.6 million in funding to three Kamloops-based businesses and organizations: Axis Forestry Inc., Kamloops Food Policy Council, and Community Futures Development Corporation (CFDC) of Central Interior First Nations (CIFN).
As part of their ambitious plans to reform wildfire policy, BC United has pledged to make British Columbia a global leader in protecting against and preventing wildfires. A $4.5 billion agreement has been inked by BHP and Lundin Mining Corp. to purchase all of the shares of exploration company Filo Corp. that they do not currently own.
