KAMLOOPS – Arpa Investments is floating the possibility of building a two-building multi-family condominium on Royal Avenue beside the Thompson River that could cost between $15-20 million.
The new North Kamloops project would include 65 market housing units in the four and five-storey structures. Arpa is holding community information sessions at the Red Beard Café at 449 Tranquille Road on January 23, and an online info session January 24 through the www.thompsonlanding.ca website.
Joshua Knaak, a partner in Arpa Investments, says the company is aiming to go to public hearing in February as well as appear before council. With a development permit, construction could begin in late spring or summer this year and be completed by the fall of 2023.
Arpa Investments has already been busy in the Tranquille Corridor, as it has developed The Colours on Spirit Square, and The Station on Tranquille, along with a new daycare that is nearing completion on McMurdo Drive.
