ABBOTSFORD – Magnum Trailer & Equipment of Abbotsford has been purchased by the Colorado-based Merritt Companies, which includes Merritt Aluminum Products and Merritt Trailers.
The Merritt Group has almost 75 years of manufacturing experience in the heavy-duty truck market, and the acquisition includes three divisions within Merritt: Truck accessories, trailer manufacturing and service at their location on 31632 Marshall Road in Abbotsford.

Magnum Trailer & Equipment’s Truck Accessories division makes aluminum moose guards and modular front-end protection systems designed for Class 8 trucks, and this division will integrate closely with Merritt Aluminum Products to create a complete front-to-back aluminum solution for customers in the heavy-duty trucking industry.
Key benefits of the acquisition include a broader, stronger product portfolio, an expanded customer support and distribution network, accelerated innovation and engineering power, and technological synergy and operational efficiencies.
All divisions of Magnum Trailer & Equipment will retain their strengths while gaining access to additional resources and support, and the Truck Accessories division will see the closest collaboration with Merritt Aluminum Products due to the complementary nature of their product offerings.
