36th Annual Penticton & Wine Country Chamber Awards Nominees Announced

PENTICTON – The Penticton & Wine Country Chamber of Commerce is thrilled to unveil the highly-anticipated list of nominees for the 36th Annual Business Excellence Awards. Since its inception in 1987, these prestigious awards have celebrated the outstanding achievements of businesses, organizations, and individuals who have made significant contributions to Penticton and the surrounding area through their dedication, innovation, and hard work.

The nomination period for the 36th Annual Business Excellence Awards concluded on August 9th receiving a remarkable 128 nominations across ten award categories, acknowledging the outstanding accomplishments of 108 unique businesses, nominees, and community leaders. All nominations were validated, and the nominees were invited to complete official nomination packages to advance to the next phase of the selection process.

The next stage involves an extensive review of the validated nominations by the 2023 selection committee, comprised of 13 distinguished business and community leaders. Using well-defined criteria, these volunteer judges will determine the semi-finalists in each award category. The Semi-Finalist Announcement is scheduled for Tuesday, September 19, 2023, from 5:30pm-7:30pm, during the Nominee Reception, hosted at and by Parker’s Chrysler.

Michael Magnusson, Executive Director of the Penticton & Wine Country Chamber of Commerce, emphasized the Chamber’s commitment to fairness and sincerity in recognizing the exceptional contributions of businesses to the community. “With investments in technology and assigning multiple judges to each category who don’t even know who their counterparts are, each selection is made as objectively as possible.”

The award winners will be revealed during a grand gala event on Saturday, October 14, 2023, at the Penticton Lakeside Resort & Conference Centre, East Ball Room.
