SURREY – Nominations are now open for the second annual Fraser Valley Commercial Building Awards, coming to the Sheraton Guildford in Surrey on October 24th.

The event celebrates the best of commercial, industrial, multi-family, rental and community projects completed across the region, from Delta to Chilliwack, including the North Fraser municipalities of Mission, Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows. Projects must be complete between January 1, 2023, and June 30, 2024. The nomination deadline is Friday, September 27th.

The organizers expect about 250 attendees for this year’s event. You can view the 2023 winners here, and the 2023 Finalist projects here. Tickets are currently 25% booked as of today.

“We could not be more excited to bring this event back to the region,” says John MacDonald, Publisher of the Business Examiner News Group. “Last year’s event showcased the breadth of development, investment and construction innovation across the Fraser Valley, and we’re excited to see what gets put forward for this year’s event.

“Individual project nomination announcements went out last week, with 200+ individual projects being identified for consideration by our nomination team and data partners. If you have not received a nomination email, but have a project you want to put forward, you are welcome to do so, there are no costs or fees required.”

The event will run from 6-9PM, including a networking hour from 6-7 with appies and live music, a sit down buffet dinner from 7-8PM, and the awards presentation from 8-9PM.

Nominations will be accepted until September 27th, at 5PM. You can find that form here.
