DELTA 

The City of Delta and BC Hydro have reached a licencing agreement, which allows 10 DC Fast Charge electric vehicle (EV) charging stations to be installed in 11 parking spots at the Delta Sports Development Complex in Ladner.

Ladner Village Market has officially opened to celebrate its 28th season.

A restoration project for the parking lot at the Sungod Recreation Centre in North Delta has been put out for bids by the City of Delta. In addition to the pavement, BC Hydro will be constructing four charging stations for electric vehicles when the project is underway.

A public information meeting will be held at the Ladner Community Centre on June 11th by the City of Delta. The meeting is intended to provide residents with additional information regarding the new application for the second phase of the Evergreen Lane project.

An analysis by Salim Kassam of Kadence Hospitality & Development revealed that Ladner Village could accommodate a six-story hotel, which also features commercial spaces. The study was presented to the city council on June 3rd.

The Surrey Langley SkyTrain project is looking for public feedback on designs for the eight stations that will make up the first major transit project south of the Fraser River in 30 years. Beginning June 18, 2024, the public is invited to preview and provide input on the design of the eight new SkyTrain stations, including station entrances and adjacent plazas. The public engagement will run until June 30, 2024, and includes four in-person open houses in Surrey and Langley, and a virtual information session. The Surrey Langley SkyTrain project will extend the Expo Line 16 kilometres primarily along Fraser Highway from King George SkyTrain Station in Surrey to Langley City.

On June 9, 2024, the King George SkyTrain in Metro Vancouver will reopen to commuters after a month and a half of TransLink maintenance.
